First things first, you have to be clear about the fact that if you want your business to succeed you have to be passionate about the idea, you should be prepared to give it 110%.
Step 1. Your next step is to figure out your target market.
Understand your target market: who are you making your product for or who is going to use your services? Develop a persona, you have to be very detailed about your customer – picture your customer, give him or her a name, how old is she, what is her style, what’s her purchasing habits, what’s her income. So, when you thinking about your product and offering ask yourself questions such as would Mary (let’s say you’ve given your persona a name) buy this product, what would she think? Would it be useful for her?
Step 2. The following step is your Business Plan.
Write a business plan: It does not have to be a huge document detailing your strategy and tactics, but you have to be clear as to what you want to achieve with your business. Write your goals, understand your competition, how are you planning to stand out, what is your unique selling point. How are you planning to market your products and services.
- Develop your customer Persona. For this find a picture of a person you see your product/service fit. Try out unsplash.com, it’s a free site full of great free images. Describe this persona.
